Covid-19 Update 03/30/20

To our valued customers:

In response to the recent “Shelter In Place” decree from the NC State Government, SolarShine is working to put in place additional measures that allow us to protect our customers, our crew, and our community during this difficult time. As defined by the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), we are an Auto Repair and Maintenance facility, and thus classified as an essential business.

We aim to stay open and continue serving those important Healthcare, Law Enforcement, First Responder, Food Service, Construction and other essential employees who continue to depend on their vehicles to perform their jobs for the community. At the same time, we understand that many of our Solar Pass Monthly Unlimited customers will not be out on a regular basis, so we will be suspending normal monthly charges for the month of April.

As of March 31, 2019, the following measures will be in place:

  • All existing Solar Pass Monthly Unlimited recharges will be changed to $0.01 (1 cent) for the month of April, resuming to normal price in May. Have a “free” month on us! If you are able to come see us during this time, your pass will still be active and we simply ask that you try to limit your washing to once a week if at all possible. *New signups in April will be at the normal advertised price.*
  • Our Unlimited Towel Exchange Program will be paused to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 Coronavirus. Sorry for the inconvenience. We will resume the program in May.
  • Our hours will be adjusted to 10AM-6PM, 7 Days a week (subject to future adjustments).
  • We will run with a limited staff, encouraging customers to complete their own purchases at our automated pay stations. We will provide help if required.
  • We will continue to clean our pay stations, vacuums and vending machines regularly with a 70% alcohol solution as recommended by the CDC.
  • Vacuums will remain open with spaces coned off to allow proper social distancing.
  • Our public bathroom will be closed.
  • We will offer our Solar Shine top wash for $10 (normally $20) to all Healthcare, Law Enforcement, First Responder, Food Service, Construction and other essential workers as a thank you for their efforts.
